Hi,
I am so happy that the weather is starting to cool down and the light is changing to that Fall glow. I LOVE Fall fashion, cozy foods, the scents, the beauty of the leaves. I’m not sure about you, but it just makes me so happy knowing that celebratory Holidays are around the corner as well.
I have been cozying up our home with adding a rug, pillows, and getting cozy dishes for the cooler months. I have noticed that it is so important to make your home beautiful inside during the colder months since the outside can start to fade when the leaves fall.
I have also been prioritizing filling our home with beautiful & relaxing music like Chopin. I love listening to playlists like that and the track from little women haha!
This fall I want to read more books and scroll less. I also want to start watching a cozy show. I have actually never watched Gilmore girls and I feel like everyone says that is a cozy Fall show….if you’ve seen it, do you think I would like it? Or do you have another suggestion?
I also want to get some of the fantasy pumpkins because they’re so beautiful and have such a pretty hue to them. But I don’t know where I would put pumpkins in our apartment haha! I am determined though to make this place so cozy and festive.
Something else I really want to do is learn how to bake cozy foods. If you’ve followed me for a bit, you know that I am HORRIBLE at baking. But I WANT to be good. It’s a hard life. HAHA
Oh also- I recently got clean perfume (excited to share more about this soon with a code) and I got a clean candle (from a local shop). Something about smelling good for the Fall makes me excited. Smells can help your memories last longer too. I love diffusing oils, finding clean candles, good clean perfumes, baked goods, and a yummy meal. That is just very cozy to me.
I also want to get a couple of cozy staples for my wardrobe. After Luke and I went through the car accident trauma and the legal battle…I sold or gave away all of my autumn clothes because it reminded me of that time. I kind of feel sad that I did that now because I have nothing to wear…HAHA. Although, I do believe that it probably is best that I don’t have those reminders. Because I can remember every doctor’s appointment or legal meeting I had in those clothes. I actually think it’s refreshing too because as you know I have been going through a quarter life crisis with style. I can reinvent my style now as I’m 26 and wanting to dress in a way that represents me in this stage of my life!
I AM SO CLOSE to finishing the Old Testament. I just finished the book of Micah. I am so excited to finally get to Matthew. I love the Old Testament a lot because it shows the foundation, origin, and so many patterns to man & the goodness of God. But I am thrilled to be starting the New Testament soon.
Some activities I’m looking forward to:
– I want to make a Pinterest board for each month with a fun mood board and inspo for the month. My friend @christine.evelyn.3 told me about how her and her friend doing this and it inspired me a lot!
– baking bread / cookies / cakes
– going apple picking
– getting a fantasy pumpkin
– watching a cozy series
– getting back into some form of art
– reading a lot
I know this blog is rather random but it was really just a letter to my friends to tell them how excited I am for fall! Haha 🙂 I would love to hear what you are excited about entering a new season?
Thanks for reading,
Tay Ruth

I love this! I am so excited for fall, too, I don’t know why. I’m just really into the cozy vibe right now! I went on a three week vacation this summer to Glacier and Yellowstone, and the transition to fall has really brought me back “home.” It was kind of hard to adjust back to normal life.
I’m also working my way through the Old Testament. I just finished Joshua. My husband doesn’t like the Old Testament because he thinks it shows a lot of God’s wrath and can’t see past it. But I think that it shows who God is and why we need saved. I think a lot of it parallels the New Testament in various ways, as well as modern day. I just think there is a lot to learn from the Old Testament.
I also love fall baking (or baking in general) so if you need tips, I’d surely share! I really like to read your Instagram posts and I’ve read a few blog posts of yours. I love how you are a friend to others and your cozy style really speaks to me. I’m also randomly into fantasy pumpkins too and I’m planning to paint them soon!
Anyway, I enjoyed the post! 🙂
