I often pray for you when I’m writing. I pray that the eyes that read these words will find a deep joy, a healing, and comfort through whatever I write. I am thankful for you, and also feel a sense of friendship through the interaction and conversations many of us have had or will have. Your story matters.
There have been seasons where I saw nothing but darkness and wondered why or how I’d ever get through some times, but what I’ve seen now is that Christ has used what I viewed as broken or ugly to create encouragement for someone who finds themselves in a place where they’re seeking hope and light.
If you’re going through or have been through a season of drought emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, then you may know or see how that has shaped you. I’ve been shaped by those times and now can solidly say my seasons of drought have been the most “soaked in wisdom” I’ve experienced since my story began. I know that God brings beauty from ashes.
I pray that what you’ll find encouragement through my scribbles, tears, laughter, mess, and hope.
Thanks for reading!
Hi! Wow. It’s been a while since I was consistent on here. I miss it a lot. I have been pouring all my creativity into my book lately which has been awesome. I did a 4-week writing cohort with Joy Eggerichs Reed recently and that was super challenging as well as rewarding. In the cohort […]
Hi, happy spring! 🙂 I asked a couple of weeks ago two questions on my Instagram, “What are you actively trying to grow in? & What is something you’re struggling with?” The question boxes filled up full of different answers. But so many of them had a theme. For areas that people are trying to […]
About a week ago, Luke, surprised me with a week getaway. He knew that by the end of March our life will begin to change in some ways (he starts his job) and we had said that during his in-between season we would get away together. But as life changed so much in 2020 with […]
Hi! I wanted to put some coffee recipes on here that are fun and yummy! I love making coffee at home and I know there are several friends on here that love coffee too. In this blog I will link all the coffee tools, beans, machines, and syrups. 1. COFFEE BEANS we’ve been loving lately: […]
To all the boyfriends, husbands, sister’s, mother’s or you…the reader. Whoever cares, HAHA. I was asked by family to put together a wish list for Christmas. So here is my wardrobe wishlist that I sent to my family. Obviously a wishlist is a guide for ideas on what I like…it doesn’t mean they have to […]
Starting to put together Christmas lists for you with some of my favorite products I own or some products that are personally on my wish list. There will be several blog posts like these that I post. This one is specifically dedicated to Home item gifts which would be great to gift to newlyweds, new […]
I woke up at the beginning of November feeling all sorts of feelings. Anxious, annoyed, hopeful, tired, lonely, excited…it was quite the confusing mix. Hopeful because it was no longer October, and tired because our world is hurting. Anxious because people are fighting all over. Annoyed because I desire peace, love, & healing. Lonely because […]
I wrote this years ago in my journal. Not knowing that I would ever share it publicly. It has since gone viral on pinterest when I saved it to my journal board (I used to share random encouragement/words there before I blogged). I didn’t think others would see it but I thought maybe it would […]
The gloomy day in October reminds my mind and body of so much pain and hurt I’ve experienced. But this October is different. I’ve felt this before each year that passes. It’s not fresh, but it’s still present. Grief comes in waves, yet such a steady flow. This feeling makes me bend and at times […]
“Brace yourself like a man” the words God spoke to Job before He answered his many questions of “why?” I remember reading that in the thick of my suffering and being confused. But that’s actually the interesting part about it. Bracing yourself like a man, because that’s what we are and the language we speak. […]
