I often pray for you when I’m writing. I pray that the eyes that read these words will find a deep joy, a healing, and comfort through whatever I write. I am thankful for you, and also feel a sense of friendship through the interaction and conversations many of us have had or will have. Your story matters.
There have been seasons where I saw nothing but darkness and wondered why or how I’d ever get through some times, but what I’ve seen now is that Christ has used what I viewed as broken or ugly to create encouragement for someone who finds themselves in a place where they’re seeking hope and light.
If you’re going through or have been through a season of drought emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, then you may know or see how that has shaped you. I’ve been shaped by those times and now can solidly say my seasons of drought have been the most “soaked in wisdom” I’ve experienced since my story began. I know that God brings beauty from ashes.
I pray that what you’ll find encouragement through my scribbles, tears, laughter, mess, and hope.
Thanks for reading!
Hi, I am so happy that the weather is starting to cool down and the light is changing to that Fall glow. I LOVE Fall fashion, cozy foods, the scents, the beauty of the leaves. I’m not sure about you, but it just makes me so happy knowing that celebratory Holidays are around the corner […]
I’ve missed you. How have you been? This letter will be a brief catch-up. I will be posting a new letter each Monday. I would love for you to write back in the space below. Since we last talked our world has really shifted. The darkness feels darker. But the light is still more powerful.
About a week ago, Luke, surprised me with a week getaway. He knew that by the end of March our life will begin to change in some ways (he starts his job) and we had said that during his in-between season we would get away together. But as life changed so much in 2020 with […]
Hi! I wanted to put some coffee recipes on here that are fun and yummy! I love making coffee at home and I know there are several friends on here that love coffee too. In this blog I will link all the coffee tools, beans, machines, and syrups. 1. COFFEE BEANS we’ve been loving lately: […]
I wrote this years ago in my journal. Not knowing that I would ever share it publicly. It has since gone viral on pinterest when I saved it to my journal board (I used to share random encouragement/words there before I blogged). I didn’t think others would see it but I thought maybe it would […]
Hi! I thought it would be fun to do a Q&A since I haven’t done one in awhile! This one will be fun and maybe interesting. I am going to pick questions that I feel are unique or that I haven’t really answered before. Questions from personal to encouragement, funny, or just curious ones that […]
Our words are impactful. As I silenced the noise in Montana, I wrote on a yellow pad of paper and recognized the words I wrote had impact because the noise was hushed. It was just the pen, paper, & me. I could write edifying words, ones that glorify the Lord, or tear me down. But […]
Ripped pages and torn paper, taped edges and tear stains…if I could wrap my life up into a picturesque phrase it would be, “just like a scrapbook.” Some people’s scrapbooks are perfect and printed. Some have ribbons and hand made art. Mine has ripped pieces, kraft tape holding pages together and tears spreading ink. But […]
Many of you have heard me say how important it is for me to “celebrate the little victories.” If you haven’t heard me say that then let me give you a little bit of a background. I have PTSD/Anxiety/Depression due to an accident where I have a brain injury amongst other things. For several years, […]
