Dear friend/reader,
I often pray for you when I’m writing. I pray that the eyes that read these words will find a deep joy, a healing, and comfort through whatever I write. I am thankful for you, and also feel a sense of friendship through the interaction and conversations many of us have had or will have. Your story matters.
There have been seasons where I saw nothing but darkness and wondered why or how I’d ever get through some times, but what I’ve seen now is that Christ has used what I viewed as broken or ugly to create encouragement for someone who finds themselves in a place where they’re seeking hope and light.
If you’re going through or have been through a season of drought emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, then you may know or see how that has shaped you. I’ve been shaped by those times and now can solidly say my seasons of drought have been the most “soaked in wisdom” I’ve experienced since my story began. I know that God brings beauty from ashes.
I pray that what you’ll find encouragement through my scribbles, tears, laughter, mess, and hope.
Thanks for reading!
Ripped pages and torn paper, taped edges and tear stains…if I could wrap my life up into a picturesque phrase it would be, “just like a scrapbook.” Some people’s scrapbooks are perfect and printed. My fiancĂ©, Luke, and I have noticed that when we may be tempted to go past our boundaries, God has protected us. At least we feel it’s God’s way of protecting us. Here is an example: Get your popcorn ready, this is gonna be a good one. This is a story for, “what not to […]

Hi guys! It’s time for the Singleness Q&A Part 2! You all sent in so many kind and encouraging messages after Part 1. I hope you’re excited to read this next one. I feel like many of these questions could be an entire blog on their own, but I did my best to answer them […]
Hi guys! I’m Aubrie Shuler, Tay’s older sister. She asked me if I wouldn’t mind writing a blog that answers all of your questions about “singleness.” She met Luke at the age of 13 and started dating as soon as they both turned 16 years old. So, she doesn’t really have a ton of experience […]

Relationships on social media often look so romantic and cute. I posted the kissing photo with this blog because, well I thought it was funny + fitting. Luke and I have grown up together which means we are really comfortable around one another. That can be such a positive thing when it comes to communication […]
7 years of dating prior to getting married felt like an eternity while we waited. Now that we are married we see the fruit of those 7 years, and shockingly the waiting feels short after it’s over (haha easy to say after the fact, but during I was like OKAY this is forever)! I wish […]

Was waiting for sex worth it? After dating for over 6 years and not having sex, did it live up to what you thought it would? If you could go back and tell yourself all you know now, do you think you still would’ve waited? These are all some of the questions that were sent […]
