Dear friend/reader,

I often pray for you when I’m writing. I pray that the eyes that read these words will find a deep joy, a healing, and comfort through whatever I write. I am thankful for you, and also feel a sense of friendship through the interaction and conversations many of us have had or will have. Your story matters.
There have been seasons where I saw nothing but darkness and wondered why or how I’d ever get through some times, but what I’ve seen now is that Christ has used what I viewed as broken or ugly to create encouragement for someone who finds themselves in a place where they’re seeking hope and light.

If you’re going through or have been through a season of drought emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, then you may know or see how that has shaped you. I’ve been shaped by those times and now can solidly say my seasons of drought have been the most “soaked in wisdom” I’ve experienced since my story began. I know that God brings beauty from ashes.

I pray that what you’ll find encouragement through my scribbles, tears, laughter, mess, and hope.

Thanks for reading!

love,

tay

How He Asked

In this specific letter that Fenelon wrote “Die Daily,” he said, “Many think that ‘dying to themselves’ is what causes them so much pain. But it is actually part of them that still lives that causes the problem.” (page 13, The Seeking Heart)

Hi, I took last Monday off because we went on vacation to Maine. What an incredible trip we had! We kind of planned it last minute because we couldn’t figure out whether we wanted to go to the beach or switch it up and go somewhere new. We both have always dreamt of going north […]

Sign of Maturity and layer of Healing

Hi friend, Being back on the blog is pretty fun. I’m in a much different season of life and even the internet is no longer the same. I felt like I was brushing away the imaginary dust on my favorite journal to get back into reading what I wrote in the past and seeing there […]

Learning God’s Love

The gloomy day in October reminds my mind and body of so much pain and hurt I’ve experienced. But this October is different. I’ve felt this before each year that passes. It’s not fresh, but it’s still present. Grief comes in waves, yet such a steady flow. This feeling makes me bend and at times […]

Burdened and Weary

“Brace yourself like a man” the words God spoke to Job before He answered his many questions of “why?” I remember reading that in the thick of my suffering and being confused. But that’s actually the interesting part about it. Bracing yourself like a man, because that’s what we are and the language we speak. […]

I have shared more recently about parts of my story. For the past nearly 5 years I have dealt with suffering. I was in a car accident nearly 5 years ago that changed my life. I have dealt with a lot of pain and suffering, and some of that being PTSD/anxiety and depression. I wanted […]

Hi, it’s Tay. It’s been awhile since I shared on here for many reasons. But one of those reasons is because I think I have needed this time for some healing. It’s a part of growing. It’s a part of recognizing that I am an incomplete piece of pottery that God is continually molding. Sometimes […]

Waiting for what?

His grace goes deeper. This phrase just kept popping up in my head the past couple of days. And it has several layers of meaning. His graces goes deeper than my sin. It goes deeper than my pain. It goes deeper than my joy, deeper than my suffering, and deeper than any situation. His grace […]

This blog will be short. But the words I say will be encouraging to someone and more words won’t be needed. In 1 Peter the scripture speaks about a LIVING hope. This comes through the resurrection of our Jesus. It speaks about suffering and trials, and how they have come for the proven GENUINENESS of […]
